Help FAQs
Can I test Servebolt for free?
Yes, you can! We allow for free trials so you can test how your site works on our Bolts. We’ll even help you migrate your site to your trial Bolt for free and compare your current hosting environment with ours!
What if I need more storage for my trial?
By default, your trial Bolt has 10GB of storage available. If you need more to properly test a copy of your site on your trial Bolt, just reach out to our Support Team and we’ll happily provide you with more storage.
If you’ve already upgraded from a trial Bolt to a subscription and you need to add more storage, check out this Help article for more information about that.
Where can I find the Servebolt SLA?
Our SLA (Service Level Agreement) guarantees 99,9% uptime on our hosting service and 100% uptime on network and power.
You can read the current SLA here https://sign.servebolt.com/sla/.
Does Servebolt support WordPress Multisites? Multi-network?
Yes. Servebolt supports all configurations of WordPress, and you can connect an unlimited number of domains for your multisite configurations. Read more about our WordPress multisite support here.
Do you have backups?
How much storage do I need?
Our entry-level Bolt Bolt plans include 10 GB and usually contain enough storage to fit most websites. Storage can easily be changed based on your needs. Websites that have large image libraries (many thousands of images) may require more storage.
You can read more about changing a Bolt Plan here and how to manage disk usage here.
Can you do the migration for me?
Yes. For new clients, a free migration is always included. You can order such a migration on our website.
Does Servebolt own it’s own infrastructure?
Yes. Servebolt owns all servers and core networking infrastructure, it is not rented from any third party cloud provider.
How do Bolts compare to VPS?
Bolts are by design faster than any VPS, and do also handle higher traffic peaks. Click this link to see how Bolts vs other hosting solutions compare.
How do Bolts compare to Cloud Hosting?
Bolts provide faster performance than any other cloud offering. They are also managed, meaning you do not need to maintain or monitor the operations. Check a side-by-side comparison of how a Bolt compares here.
Do you have a Data Processor Agreement (DPA)?
Yes, we do. You can find our pre-signed Data Processing Agreement here.
Does Servebolt offer an SLA?
Yes! We provide a super solid SLA included with all our Bolts. If you have additional requirements, there are options to extend the SLA.
What search solution does Servebolt recommend?
We recommend either using the Servebolt Elasticsearch service, or the external service Algolia for search.
Elasticsearch has the advantage of running on your Bolt, providing fast search access and easy setup and configuration in your desired application.
Algolia provides the internet’s fastest external search solution and integrates with many CMSes.
Why is Servebolt faster?
Servebolt has implemented hundreds, if not thousands, of optimizations. You can read more about why Servebolt is faster here.
Does Servebolt have a CDN?
Yes, we do and we provide several options for CDNs. Servebolt CDN is a powerful enterprise-grade CDN that comes with a Web Application Firewall built in. For more information, please read our announcement post.
Alternatively, Accelerated Domains offers an enterprise-grade CDN included in the product alongside performance-enhancing features.
We also offer various options for the use of Cloudflare. Lastly, you can add any other CDN of your liking as well – but then it will be unmanaged from our side.
Do I need a CDN?
You need a content delivery network if your visitors have a large geographical distribution, and their average distance to the origin server is high (more than 100ms on a fiber network). We recommend using Servebolt CDN or Accelerated Domains as a CDN.
