When you have accessed the Control Panel you can navigate to the Bolt section (Bolt is our name for hosts/servers). From here you can choose “Add new Bolt”, followed by which hosting location you wish to place your Bolt.
Firstly you need to establish for what version of PHP your website has been developed, this will automatically provide you with the optimal hosting location for your website. Newer PHP versions usually have good speed improvements, so choose to be as modern as you can.
We currently run Servebolt Cloud Locations in Amsterdam, Oslo, London, New York (US East), Dallas (US Central), and Singapore. We recommend you choose a server location based on your target market. E.g: If your target market is located in Scandinavia then an Oslo-based server is the best choice.
After choosing a server you can give your Bolt a name. After creating your Bolt you’ll receive an email with all the necessary information, such as SFTP and database information.
Then you are ready to upload your files and database!
