We generally support every official PHP version. Some discrepancies between the officially supported and Servebolt-supported versions are expected. For example, we cannot support newer versions when they are released immediately. This is because we rigorously test new versions to ensure they are secure and bug-free using our infrastructure. Additionally, we might support older versions longer than what is officially supported.

We recommend always running the most modern, stable version of PHP that your application supports. It is almost always faster, more secure and better maintained. It will also give your application the longest possible life, rather than choosing technology that will soon be discontinued.
